Where in the world are America’s carriers?

Thursday was a busy day for America’s aircraft carriers, as 8 of 11 were underway all at once, joining 160 other U.S. Navy ships underway around the globe.

Where the carriers were, with photos from this past weekend:

USS Enterprise (CVN 65) in the 5th Fleet — an area that encompasses about 2.5 million square miles of water area and includes the Arabian Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman and parts of the Indian Ocean.
