What’s that? Another Nimitz-class carrier?

While it might up Navy’s standards, Gilpin is a scale model of a Nimitz-class carrier. Not only is it seaworthy, it’s also complete with remote-control aircraft capable of take-off, a rotating ray addition and a catapult system.

Created by William Bergen, a systems engineer at Raytheon, the carrier made its debut at a Colorado regatta earlier this month.
